GM launches production of Chevy Cruze for U.S., Canada

Manufacturing of Chevrolet's Cruze, to be built at the Lordstown (Warren), Ohio, GM plant, will be marked with an official ceremony Wed., Sept. 8, at the production facility. The first Cruze compact sedans will be built for buyers in the United States and Canadian markets. -Read more-

Consumers soon will be able to control vehicle functions from their smartphones, thanks to an expansion of OnStar's mobile app technology.
In addition to unlocking the doors and sounding a vehicle's horn and lights, OnStar subscribers will be able to see their current fuel tank level and range, remaining oil life, current and recommended tire pressure and lifetime average mpg. -Read more-

Chevy truck parade sets world record

Chevy truck paradeHeinrich Chevrolet, Lockport, N.Y., won recognition by the World Records Academy for having the World’s Largest Chevy Truck Parade. A total of 231 Chevy trucks paraded 2.7 miles.The event raised more than $5,000 for Niagara Hospice. Heinrich Chevy donated $10 for every vehicle that participated as well as sold food, T-shirts and raffle tickets for the cause.
