2011 Interceptor
MRT (Mustang Racing Technologies), Plymouth, Mich., customized this 2011 Mustang GT, a 5L V8 powerhouse … make that powerhorse for exceptional speed and tons of fun. MRT estimates that its second-generation Interceptor Mustang will produce 600hp. The team’s holistic, engineering approach results in fine-tuned performance that delivers maximum fun behind the wheel.
The Interceptor will sport a top-caliber performance exhaust system, which MRT will engineer and manufacture at its Plymouth location. The system is 3" in tube diameter and made of the stainless steel; MRT designed it to offer both performance gains and deep, muscular sound.
The muscular car will have street performance styling with its aggressive appearance intended to weed out unworthy competitors. Featuring lowered coil-over suspension and bad-boy styling cues, this vehicle embodies raw, all-American muscle. Race-inspired rims and tires complete the Interceptor’s super-low street stance. High-performance brakes control speed responsively and ensure that this Mustang stops at the end of the chase.
Custom paint and graphics effects finish off the Interceptor with show-worthy, street-approved paint and graphics effects: Flaming red accents evoke the Interceptor’s daring spirit and catch-me-if-you-can speed; a combination of matte and gloss finishes reflects the Interceptor’s dual personality as both a street outlaw and an exquisitely executed show car.
Here are a couple of other planned features: coil-over suspension; race-inspired rims and tires.
See it at Ford Motor Co.’s display.
