When folks think of Colorado, they think mountains, even though half the state is high plains. But it’s the mountains that lure people all year round, with wintertime sports and rest-of-the-year sheer mountain joys.
One of those joys, of course, is offroading.
Jason Huss loves the offroad and the vehicles that get him and others to the adventures into the foothills, into the Rocky Mountains, sometimes deep into the mountains and their valleys.
Huss works for High Country Performance 4x4 in Englewood, Colo. The 4x4 outfitters take care of all comers, be they long-time offroaders, rock crawlers or even a pro-NBAer who’s had a couple of vehicles built to his special specs.
Megan Thompson, from Colorado-based Bestop, says that Huss “has a passion for trucks and offroad vehicles. He likes to try out new products and aftermarket accessories to get a custom look and the exact vehicle he wants. He can also help out customers with first-hand knowledge on the accessories he uses.”
To that end, Huss can show customers some of his own work on his own vehicle, a 4x4 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab with a short bed.
What’s Jason have to show? How about these?
• 5.9 Cummins and auto transmission
• Banks Power Six Gun tuner with iQ monitor
and MonsterExhaust
• S&B Filters dry filter intake
• Mag-Hytec transmission pan and rear
differential cover
• Daystar leveling kit with Bilstein shocks
• Bestop PowerBoards and EZ Roll tonneau
cover
• 35 x 12.50 R18 Toyo Open M/Ts on KMC matte-black XD Addict wheels
And, no doubt, Huss will add some more offroad (and onroad) goodies to his Ram-tough truck.
